  • Title: Role: IT L2 Communications
  • The Team: BT Second line Support
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Work Schedule: Normal working hours + on call
  • Home office opportunity: Yes, depending on further agreement
  • Work location: Madrid
    Key responsibilities
  • Providing support for Access/distribution server network, user network, security network: final architecture design. Routing/switching politic redesign ((OSPF, STP convergence, routing filters, Access politic, core network interconnection
  • Being responsible for equipment review Juniper (MX series, EX series), Cisco (3xxx Series, 6xxx (VSS)
  • Providing support for Technologies: MPLS/IP, VPN L2/L3, Routing BGP/ OSPF/RIP Unicast / Multicast.
  • Providing support for DHCP infoblox / Balanceadores F5 / NETSCALER (CITRIX)"
  • Providing support for Arista / Vcenter VMWare
  • Being responsible of monitoring Review over: Netcool/ SevOne
  • Management of ticketing tools / ServiceNow
  • A person who is serious and committed in the long term with the project is necessary. With a positive attitude for learning and evolution
  • Ability to understand a very demanding client.

Requirements (in order:

Soft skills:


  • Ability to meet the customers' needs in line with the business requirements.
  • Working with a cooperative and positive attitude in a group setting to achieve common goals
  • Communicating effectively and efficiently while adapting to your audience and getting the message through as intended
  • Ability to comprehend and to oversee various aspects of a problem or a situation
  • Ability to find root causes of problems and to focus on their quick and efficient solution
  • Taking the responsibility and taking care of the consequences of making a decision

Professional skills:

- a must:

  • 2 years of experience in Networking and switching
  • CCNA certificate
  • Expertise in Azure
  • English on a conversational level
  • Spanish on a fluent level

- an advantage
  • Advanced routing BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Switching, Multicast, QoS.
  • LAN / WAN / WIFI environments and CPD infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of scripting programming: Perl, Python
