Aufgaben:


  • Global Service & Parts (GSP) is responsible for the worldwide parts and service business of Mercedes-Benz AG. The department of OGI in San Cugat/Barcelona is leading international logistics projects for our wholesale locations and we are looking for a Team Leader (L5) for approximate 11 employees in transportation planning & forwarder quality positions.
  • We are looking to fill a total of 1 vacancy.
  • These are the tasks you will face:
  • Leading 11 highly-motivated transportation planners and forwarder quality analyst/specialist.
  • Coordination towards the headquarter team in Germersheim/Germany and managing international working consulting firms (using weekly Shopfloor cadence with the team & headquarter).
  • Ensuring the spare part logistics transport cost saving initiative with approx transportation tenders per year and other transport related projects together with the team in Germersheim and other central departments (planning/strategy, purchase, sales).
  • Ensure transportation projects are managed on time and on target and drive the daytoday decisionmaking within the team, the headquarter and other corporate functions with Mercedes Benz.
  • Support in the setup & rampup of a global forwarder quality management system for road transportation (including forwarder potential analysis, preventive & reactive actions & forwarder development)
  • Enable forwarder quality staff in qualification programs (such as auditing, implementation of quality tools & the establishment of a standard quality approach)
  • Empowering the team to perform in management meetings (project milestone quality gates, steering committees, working groups, alignment calls with the >40 logistics centers around the globe, escalation meetings with forwarders).
  • Drive lessonslearned and training initiatives to permanently improve the project quality and & team performance.
  • Support in optimizing the planning and purchasing processes and in the development of new methods to accelerate processes and make them more flexible
  • Governance and functional lead will be coming from the central department in Germersheim, Germany

Qualifikationen:


  • Minimal Requirements:
  • Master or bachelor degree in business engineering, business, transportation, purchase or equivalent.
  • Experience in transportation, purchase, multi project management or consulting needed. Ability to work with different cultures, languages & mindsets.
  • Excellent business English, German language not a must, but will help in the job.
  • Experience in corporate business, automotive
  • Relevant work experience as Project Manager, Purchaser, Consulter and/or logistics manager in demanding line functions.
  • Solid experience in logistics/supply chain management preferably with an international freight forwarder, industrial or trading company
  • Auditor training (internal or external) e.g. VDA
  • Analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills, strong communication and leadership skil
