Role Overview

Collaborate with our internal team and external associates to ensure smooth migrations to WordPress;
Lead the development and integration of new features on our WordPress platform following the post-launch roadmap;
Offer insights on platform architecture and uphold best practices;
Maintain high-performance, ensure availability, and oversee all technical aspects of the CMS;
Provide feedback and suggestions to the team;
Provide technical advice and guidance to our in-house engineering groups, aiding in enhancing their skills in WordPress development.

Essential Requirements

In-depth knowledge of WordPress and PHP basics with a robust project portfolio;
Minimum of 4 years of WordPress experience;
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and dedication to top-notch development standards;
Familiarity with WordPress RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML);
Familiarity with contemporary JavaScript (e.g., ESNext and JSX) and expertise in creating custom blocks for the Block Editor using and React;
Prior experience in supporting high-traffic corporate websites;
Experience in optimizing application performance;
Comfortable with local development environments for debugging and testing purposes;
Proficient in utilizing code versioning tools (such as Github).

Desirable Skills

Proficiency in working with WordPress VIP hosting infrastructure;
Experience in decoupled or headless WordPress setups employing RESTful or GraphQL APIs;
Hands-on experience with GraphQL and advanced API development techniques;
Proficiency in front-end technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and ;
Understanding of contemporary deployment methods using CI/CD pipelines;
Knowledge of AWS cloud services;
Leadership/mentoring exposure;
Active involvement in the WordPress community (contributions to open-source projects, participation in events, etc);
Background in digital media.
