Your mission with us


We are looking for a
Data Analyst to work in a multi-disciplined team alongside Developers, Designers and Product Owners, who will own their work from the initial idea to the final implementation.

The role will also involve mentoring junior members of the team who have an understanding of the area, but may need to lean on a more experienced colleague from time-to-time.

The role sits inside the BI team.

The BI team are made up of 80+ people split across the three Ryanair offices:
Dublin, Madrid & Wroclaw.

Within the BI team there is a range of different professions:
Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Optimization Specialists, Data Modellers, BI Analysts & BI Reporters.


Requirements:

Education:

Relevant Undergrad Degree in field of Analytics, Masters preferable.

Work Experience:

Relevant work experience in Data Analytics/Data Science positions.

Ability to work independently. Crucial to be a self-starter and consistently show initiative & diligence on a daily basis. The team is built up of people who generate ideas and show initiative in the work they do. Take full responsibility for projects, and ensure they are delivered on time.

Analytical mindset:

Be inquisitive and curious with data. Be able to interpret and analyse data. Be able to construct a story through data. Ability to uncover answers to important business questions through data.

Confident Presenter:

The role will involve very regular presentations to non-technical audiences. It is important to be a confident & skilled presenter.

Direct Reports:

Ability to delegate work to & manage Junior Data Analysts.


Technical - Requirements
-
Coding Language:

Experience in Python/R. Python/R are regularly used across the BI team.

SQL:

SQL experience from previous jobs is required. Need to be fluent in writing SQL queries to extract data from Data Warehouses.

Excel - extensive experience required. Spreadsheets very commonly used, need to be very comfortable working in Excel (pivot tables, extensive formula knowledge).

Data Visualization
  • A very important aspect of the role is to be able to explain analysis through the use of data visualizations. Experience with Data Viz software is preferred e.g. Tableau/PowerBI.

PowerPoint/Google Slides

  • Ability to quickly put together slide decks that summarize your analysis, and clearly tell a story. Have expertise in designing a range of styles of slide decks for varying audiences.

Data Validation:

Important to be capable of validating datasets you work with contain correct information.
