We are in search of a dynamic
Head of Functional Design to lead our platform governance initiatives within the payments industry.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, collaborating closely with stakeholders and developers to ensure the seamless execution of our product ideas.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Functional Design Leadership: Take charge of functional design processes, overseeing the translation of business requirements into detailed functional specifications. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring that our product ideas are transformed into executable designs that developers can readily implement.

Payments Value Chain Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the payments value chain to inform functional design decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key functions and features essential for delivering exceptional payment solutions.

Specification Development: Work closely with stakeholders to develop comprehensive specifications that outline the functionality, behavior, and interactions of our products. Your attention to detail and clarity will be instrumental in guiding developers through the implementation process.

Collaboration with Enterprise Architects: Partner with enterprise architects to align functional designs with architectural principles and standards. Your collaborative efforts will ensure that our designs are both innovative and architecturally sound.

Execution Support: Provide ongoing support to developers, assisting them in understanding and implementing functional specifications. Your guidance will be essential in driving the successful execution of our product designs.

Experience and Qualifications:

Functional Design Expertise: Proven track record in functional design, with a focus on translating business requirements into detailed specifications. Experience in the payments industry is highly desirable.

Payments Value Chain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the payments value chain, including key functions and features essential for payment solutions. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping our product designs.

Specification Development Skills: Strong proficiency in developing detailed functional specifications. Ability to articulate complex requirements clearly and concisely.

Collaborative Approach: Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and developers alike. Experience working alongside enterprise architects is a plus.

Execution Support Abilities: Demonstrated ability to support developers in understanding and implementing functional specifications. Your hands-on approach will be crucial in driving the successful execution of our product designs.
