As a Platform Engineer in Axpo, you will work on challenging projects and solve difficult tasks related to the provision of high-quality software products for the energy industry.

The products you develop will support our employees as well as external partners and customers in meeting the challenges of the energy transition.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for building and operating data-driven digital products and re-usable platform components.

What you will do:

Develop automation to deploy and manage compute resources in the cloud
Deploy and manage core infrastructure such as databases, monitoring and storage
Closely collaborate with software engineers to create highly scalable, operable and maintainable products
Engage in and improve the whole life cycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement

What you bring & who you are:

2+ years of Systems Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps experience
Experience in a cloud environment, ideally Microsoft Azure
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure tools would be a plus
Experience in Bash, Python, and/or other scripting languages Experience with CI/CD practices
Good understanding of Docker, Vagrant, and Kubernetes, or similar technologies
Good understanding of virtualization and hypervisor technologies
Understanding of databases and data modeling
Focus on performance bottlenecks and performance improvement techniques
Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tools.
Ability to research, evaluate and propose suitable new technologies
Must be comfortable working with mission critical, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities
Excellent communications skills with the ability to communicate with customers, peers, management etc. in both formal and informal situations
Fluent in German or English
