About the team
As one Midmarket Team (MM) we represent one of SAP's fastest growth areas, particularly in the Cloud.

Our goal is to accelerate SAP ́s market share in MM, and the purpose of our Business Development Teams is to engage with the right prospect, at the right time and with the right message.

This is the start of converting prospects into new customers. We do this by leveraging innovative digital sales tools to give our prospects a great first experience with SAP.

Who you are

You could be interested in starting a career in sales and be attracted to a more customer-facing role (SDA) or perhaps you have a desire to get to know how a corporation like SAP prepares and processes its data in non-customer-facing (DDA).

Either way, you will be someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious, as well as likes to work on meaningful innovative projects and is energized by lifelong learning.


  • You will ideally be in the last stages of your education and ready for your first career step, so you could be bachelors or master ́s student
  • Under Spanish law, your university must be able to sign a triparty agreement with a university, without it we cannot consider
  • Your preferred field of study should have a commercial focus such as Business Administration, Management, Sales, Marketing, Data/ Process Management, IT/Digital Transformation etc
  • You are ready to commit to a fulltime 6month placement (Full time is 39.5 hours per week)
  • You possess knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Canva etc
  • You pay attention to details as well as the ability to deliver highly qualitative work and results
  • You are strongly driven, proactive and collaborative with an adaptable problemsolver mindset
  • You are an active listener, so you understand assignments, and deliver expected results


Your mission as a Trainee is to help our teams engage with prospects at the right time, with the right key decision maker and the right personalized content so we can hopefully turn them into SAP customers in the future.

In either role, your actions will eventually allow our Account Executives (Sales) to ultimately have a strong pipeline of potential customers.

This way, you will contribute to SAP's revenue growth in our MM business segment.


During your placement, you will contribute this important part of SAP's work by learning:

Business Development SDA

(Customer Facing, in time)

Demand Management DDA

(Non-Customer Facing)

  • Best practices in digital prospecting such as
  • Deep understanding of industryspecific trends and challenges and how SAP brings value to them
  • How to prepare and engage with prospect decisionmakers at C Level
  • Effective objection handling to unlock challenges and needs that SAP World Class Solutions can solve
  • Ensuring that our data quality is in the best shape possible
- to keep our campaigns and prospect engagement on track
- segment the addressable market
- preparing, and following up of Demand Generation campaigns,

  • Create landing pages for volume campaigns or Account Based Marketing (ABM)

And you'll do either of these roles by

  • Learning and understanding the basics of good data management enrichment, such as profiling, target accounts, industries, personas (typically clevel) etc.
  • Learning how to use reporting tools
  • An appropriate level (role specific) of customerfacing time along with our Business Developers
  • Leveraging, nurturing, and acceleratin
