As global leader in patient-focused medical innovations, it is critical for us to deliver best-of-breed services to our team members on the field as well as to the Health Care Professionals interacting with Edwards Lifesciences.

In collaboration with Business Units stakeholders, the Regional Product Owner Director will set the products vision and orchestrate the implementation, with the support of product owners and scrum teams.

The role combines an entrepreneurial mindset for distilling business value and goals into the portfolio and articulate backlogs accordingly as well as a strong capability to be the voice of the users.

The role will articulate regional Business Units expectations and global execution capabilities.


Role objectives:

Defines the vision and the product portfolio roadmap and communicates across the organization.

Sets the overall direction and strategy for the product owner team.

Drives value creation in the product portfolio management in close collaboration with Business Owners, with crystal clear communication.


Works with senior management to seek funding and resources for new products and initiatives, in close collaboration with the Regional IT business Partner, IT delivery management & SFDC Competencies Center lead.

Manages expectations across the organization on when products will be available and when new features will be delivered.


Leads Regional prioritization process and participate to global Metascrum meetings to decide what must be delivered and coordinate with US / JAPAC regional Product Owners Director to find synergies and articulate respective priorities.

Enforces the product roadmap by ensuring that features are being implemented as scheduled by the teams.

Manages conflicts when the development team encounters roadblocks in development efforts, when not solved at Product Owner level.

Drives continuous improvement actions with the product owner team and the scrum teams and the business owners.

Synchronizes extensively with business operations stakeholders (Project Management Office, Data Governance, Business Processes ).


How you will make an impact:
Defines the vision and the product portfolio roadmap in line with business goals.

Nurtures ideas and solutions to existing customer problems, in collaboration with the business Owners (demand framing & intake) and Scrum teams

Prioritizes needs according to stakeholders' objectives, juggles scope, budget and time to prioritize the backlogs.


Drives the product portfolio prioritization & planning at regional level and prepare arbitration, at regional as well as at global level, in collaboration with Business Operations & IT.

The portfolio will include deliveries that will contribute to key transformational initiatives.

Supports product backlog prioritization at product team level when needed, map out dependencies and unlock potential impediments.


Ensures, with support of Business Units, direct interactions between end-users (field ambassadors or "super users" for e.g.) and scrum teams to test ideas, to prototype and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Takes decisions in the interest of the Users (ease of use, efficiency of the solution for their day-to-day activities).

Delivers on time and at the expected level in terms of quality from a user and a compliance perspective.

Measures the performance of each product teams and support improvement action plans (delivery speed, predictability )


What you'll need (required):

Minimum 6 years experience in product ownership role for front lines or B2B customers, of which a mobile 1st product strategy execution:
Experience in Agile Product Management, with significant User Design Impact is a must.

Experience in sales, sales management, commercial management, sales force excellence or commercial operations, project & portfolio management is recommended.

Strong leadership & strategic Thinking.

Sharp understanding of business value creation and outstanding experience design. Experience in taking decisions backed by behavioral analytics.

Strong knowledge and experience of Agile ways of working and principles.

Successful track record of developing products within deadlines

Strong software culture and able to articulate product strategy & technological choices, in close collaboration with IT.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Excellent attention to details

Robust experience in task prioritization

Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

Creative and innovative thinker

Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders

Team Management experience

Past Product ownership experience in iOS environment and/or in SFDC environment

Design thinking - nice to have
