Open Digital Services is the tech company behind the leading digital banks and fintechs operating across Europe and North/South America.

DevOps Engineers design and implement solutions to automate code release.

They make changes to the AWS architecture for two main purposes:

to enhance the platform to use new AWS functionalities and to provision new architecture for new projects that solutions architects design.

DevOps engineers implement changes to the AWS platform in an automated fashion using infrastructure-as-code ( IaC ) and configuration management technology.

They deploy new services and update and complete fixes in the production environment.

You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and independent team of engineers and other areas such as Architecture, QA, Product Management and Delivery to design and develop advanced capabilities.

Creating cloudbased infrastructure required by the software team in AWS.
Creating and maintaining scripts to activate and deactivate instances on demand.
Maintaining security compliances like passwords, key rotation policies.
Providing direct support during various operations such as deployment and general production.
Collaborating with developers to ensure that new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices
Define several types of alerts ( OpsGenie alerts) that monitor system's health and report any issues if they occur and when they do, the DevOps team takes ownership of the issues and resolves them themselves or at least escalates them to the proper team.
Cost savings / cost optimization is a huge part of their activities.
Finally, they work with the DEV/STE team to deploy new software releases in the cloud.

Specific experience and knowledge

Knowledge working with tools such as: awscli, splunk, grafana, cloudwatch, docker, etc.
Solid DevOps orchestration experience on IaC (CloudFormation).
Experience of threelayers architectures: web (Apache), engine (tomcat/spring) and database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORACLE, and NoSQL databases).
Experience in source code tools, continuous integration tools and team management tools.
Understanding of cloud computing concepts and design considerations using modern patterns such as infrastructure as code or ephemeral servers.
Strong coding skills (shell script (bash), Python, JavaScript).
Experience of monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, or similar).
Solid DevOps orchestration experience on IaC (CloudFormation), AWS CLI
Knowledge of configuration management systems, such as Ansible, or related systems.
