About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in high-performance systems to play a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of Fever's live-entertainment platform.

The ideal candidate will have proven software development excellence, a keen eye for code quality, and a drive to get things done right. This is an opportunity to have real impact in a high-growth global category leader.

Responsibilities

• Fully integrate into the team and participate in planning, grooming, and retrospectives within the first month.
• Familiarize yourself with Fever's tech stack, CI/CD workflows, and operational infrastructure.
• Propose solutions to new challenging problems, from architecture design to implementation, after three months.
• Create production-grade Python code designed to handle high levels of traffic.
• Mentor team members through code reviews, architecture design sessions, and pair programming.
• Participate in team-building activities and events.
• Responsible for redesigning one of our major workflows to improve scalability, performance, and geographical distribution.

About You

The ideal candidate must have:

• Strong knowledge of good practices, testing, and design patterns.
• Proficiency in business English.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, taking it to its limits (ideally PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in using Datadog or other similar profiling tools and monitoring systems.

The ideal candidate should also have experience with:

• Python (Django/Flask)
• Redis.
• Event communication between services. Celery with RabbitMQ.
• Handling services with more than 1000 requests/second.
• AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
