KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide leadership and guidance to the broader Senior and Middle Leadership Team
  • Lead on the academic provision of the school with a focus on the International Baccalaureate and IGCSE.
  • Continually develop and maintain the school selfevaluation documents and processes for both selfimprovement and inspection.
  • Coordinate the formulation and development of the school's aims and objectives.
  • To establish policies and procedures to achieve the school's aims and objectives.
  • To allocate staff resources to enable the school to achieve its aims and objectives.
  • Oversee the effective implementation of the quality assurance framework.
  • Develop and implement the school's appraisal processes.
  • Implement whole school procedures for the accurate collection, analysis and communication of student progress and attainment.
  • Identify staffing needs and run the school recruitment processes to fill them.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Primary and Directora Técnica, coordinate the whole school calendar and work to ensure the overall smooth running of the school.

The new Whole School Deputy Head at Kensington School, Madrid (Inspired Education) will strategically lead the school to achieve the vision set out by the Head of School, the Inspired Group and the wider school community.

This will involve building and maintaining positive working relationships with all members of the staff, parent and student bodies.

The Deputy Head will need to work with political and financial astuteness, translating policy and practice into the school's context and ensuring exceptional staff management.

They will lead by example, holding and articulating clear values and moral purpose with a clear focus on ensuring excellence for the students at the school.

Under the direction of the Head of School, they will also ensure that best practice is maintained and to lead on the operational, academic and pastoral arrangements of the school.
