    Engagement Manager, AWS Professional Services

    Description:

    AWS Engagement Managers collaborate across roles to understand customer needs and define project goals. They lead peers, small teams, or groups of teams made up of AWS members, customer stakeholders/SMEs, and potentially other vendors to create and execute a plan to achieve project goals.

    The engagement manager will guide customers through their cloud journey to transform their business. They will leverage AWS mechanisms to help customers envision strategic goals and requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage matrixed teams across multi-stream, agile technical engagements for customers.
    • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
    • Create and deliver communication tailored to the audience.
    • Demonstrate understanding of requirements, foresee risks, make decisions guided by policies, procedures, and a business plan with limited guidance.
    • Manage scope, timeline, and budget of each individual project.
    • Drive innovation throughout the engagement life cycle through iterative feedback mechanisms.

    About the Team:

    The position may require up to 50% travel to customer sites.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
    • Able to represent AWS within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation.
    • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/iterative methodologies.
    • Demonstrated experience leveraging project management and agile methodologies on enterprise-level engagements.
    • BS level technical degree or equivalent experience.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • MBA or Master's degree in a management, technical, or engineering field.
    • AWS/Cloud experience and certifications.
    • Active project management certification.
    • Managed engagements using both Waterfall and Agile/Iterative methodologies.
    • Presented to C-level executives as well as to technical subject matter experts.
    • FinancialForce Professional Services Automation (PSA) for Salesforce.
