Your mission


As a Senior Network Engineer, your mission is to lead the charge in designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of performance, availability, and security.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute network strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize network performance.

With your expertise and dedication, you'll play a crucial role in driving innovation and shaping the future of our network infrastructure.


What you'll do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable network infrastructure in cloud environments such as Openstack
  • Implement and manage virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, access control lists, and VPN connections in our cloud environments
  • Configure and manage cloudbased load balancers, firewalls, and other network security features to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data
  • Automate network provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks using scripting languages and infrastructureascode tools.
  • Collaborate with your peers to develop and execute network strategies aligned with company goals, while also providing technical expertise and support for integrated solutions across various teams
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot networkrelated issues, including latency, packet loss, and connectivity problems.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to uphold the privacy and security standards set by Host Co.
  • Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and training purposes
  • Participate in oncall rotation and respond to network incidents and emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Stay uptodate on industry trends and best practices to ensure our network infrastructure remains cuttingedge.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Openstack Certification) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure in cloud environments, preferably with Canoncial Openstack
  • Highly skilled in setting up, overseeing, and resolving issues with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP and subnetting.
  • Handson experience with cloud networking services such as VPC, Openstack Designate, Openstack Neutron, and cloudbased load balancers.
  • Strong proficiency in network security principles and practices, including firewalls, encryption, identity and access management, and network segmentation.
  • Experience with network management, monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Opengear lighthouse, Cisco ISE, Panorama, Strato Cloud manager, Cloudflare, Wireshark, Tcpdump, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, etc
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and infrastructureascode (e.g., Terraform, Maas, Juju, Heat templates).
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment, with a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is desirable.
  • Indepth understanding of Network architecture and deployment.
