The Senior Accountant role is part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) Team within Volvo Cars, which is developing and delivering global efficient and harmonized processes in PTP, OTC and General Accounting and Reporting (GAR).

Within Polestar, you would work in the cluster responsible for GAR and have the opportunity to encourage innovation in a global environment.

What you'll do

You will secure that the Polestar Cluster applies correct accounting principles and comply with national and international laws and regulations as well as company guidelines.

You will also be responsible for the accuracy of reported financial figures.

You will be responsible for the daytoday accounting, monthly closings, account reconciliation and timely and accurate reporting.
You will be the interface and the point of contact for our Polestar Group Finance Organization, internal customers and external auditors
Take part in process development
Deliver high quality service and advice within the area of responsibility
Identify areas for improvement within area of responsibility
Complex analysis and reporting
Measure and follow up the quality and efficiency of global processes

Do you fit the profile?

A university degree in Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 810 years' experience in Accounting
Fluent in English both verbally and written (C1). Knowledge of Dutch, German, Norwegian or Swedish is a plus.
Experience in executing global processes locally and working effectively in a global team
Good knowledge of Taxes, Local GAAP and knowledge of IFRS. Sox knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of SAP systems and Workday is a plus
Be a great communicator with good collaboration skills.
Have an ability to plan and prioritize with a positive mindset.
You have high integrity regarding your work
Capable of dealing with tight deadlines
Good analytical skills
You are service minded and curious.
Ability to work independently and to drive improvements
