    Job Introduction

    For our client, European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), we are looking for a System Engineer for multiple locations in Europe: Prague (Czech Republic), Madrid (Spain), Noordwijk (the Netherlands), and Toulouse (France).

    Please note that this role provides a 1 year support contract starting from 01/02/2024.

    The activities below will include frequent access to EUSPA classified security areas and systems and will require the candidate to have a Security Clearance. Meetings to other EUSPA premises in Europe is foreseen.

    Role Responsibility

    As System Engineer you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Provide mission analyses and technical assessments related to evolutions' proposal for infrastructure and services, including support to the establishment of technical orientations (mission, services, system).
  • Preparation of decision file which will lead to decision on mission and service baseline for next generation of European space programme Systems. Decision file will include necessary documents to support a well-informed decision, such as Technical Analysis, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Risk Analysis or Impact Assessment.
  • Support to the definition of the operation/service and operability requirements. Definition of concept of operation.
  • Support in the frame of the EU R&D activities related to European space programmes, for which support may be required to define activities, evaluate proposals/tenders and follow up projects, addressing mission and service definition, service demonstrators and test beds, prototypes, feasibility and preliminary architecture.
  • Support the assessment of the security baseline for system evolutions and flow down the Mission High Level Definition and Mission Security requirements within SPRDs and derived documentation.
  • Perform interoperability activities, such as the elaboration of system design solutions and system impact analyses on the compatibility and inter-operability of the programme with other satellite navigation systems.
  • Prepare proposals for new and updated mission and service requirements.

    Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring :

  • Master degree in Space Engineering.
  • MANDATORY EXPERIENCE REQUESTED:

  • From 2 to 10 years of relevant experience in ground segment or system engineering experience in the space industry.
  • Experience in GNSS in particular on Galileo and EGNOS is a strong asset.
  • Experience with European Space Programmes (Copernicus, Galileo , Space Doman awareness or Govsatcom).
  • Experience with COMSEC items and PRS information is a strong asset.
  • Experience with DOORS is a Plus.
  • Availability to go on missions.
  • ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • SECRET UE/EU SECRET Security Clearance is mandatory
