TEAM LEWIS has four offices in Southern Europe (SE) region based in Milan, Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon. We are looking for a full-time Finance Assistant to join our team.


Purpose of the role

As Finance Assistant, you will deal on a daily basis with all the tasks involved in running a correct business administration.

You will provide an effective and efficient Finance support to the Southern Europe offices of TEAM LEWIS delivering a high level of service and advice consistent with company and legal requirements.

Also, you will work closely with the Global Finance team based in London (our HeadQuarter), Germany, France and Benelux. We expect this person to be ideally based in Madrid or Barcelona.

In addition, the ideal profile for this role is a junior person with a couple of years of accounting experience and bookkeeping orientation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing accounting processes (including raising suppliers invoices, purchase orders, treasury and cash management, credit control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, cashbook, reconciliations)
  • Timely monthly and yearend closing
  • Meeting financial deadlines (including invoicing and VAT returns)
  • Proper procedure regarding debtor and creditor management
  • Preparing financial reports
  • Raising any improvement processes within the finance operation
  • Coordination with Global Finance team members

Other Responsibilities

  • Supports Finance, Operations and HR on driving forward initiatives and projects in the region
  • Responsible for finance processes for the region to be compliant with TEAM LEWIS Finance policies: cost authorisations, purchase orders, documents and forms required
  • Contributes and supports the continuous improvement of Finance systems, practices and policies
  • Trains and educates nonfinance colleagues to ensure finance processes and correctly fulfilled

About you

  • 2 years of accounting experience
  • Experience of all core accounting processes (raising supplier invoices, credit control, accounts payable, banking, cashbook, reconciliations)
  • High English written and oral communication skills are essential
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
  • Ready to work with international teams, based in different offices
  • Well organized, strong ability to prioritize, common sense and pragmatic approach
  • Energetic, confident, charismatic a team player
