    Job Description

    Position Purpose

    As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will work with the SCI team, building Supply Chain customer facing applications, conducting various types of testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing, to identify defects and ensure product reliability. You will develop a strong understanding of software testing principles and contribute to the overall improvement of product quality. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products are usable and accurate.

    Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Working with development team, product owners and other stakeholders across the business to deliver quality product.
  • Performing exploratory testing on the application.
  • Writing and executing manual test cases and collating the results.
  • Conducting hands-on testing of complex application use cases.
  • Finding and logging bugs & defects.
  • Documenting and communicating findings.
  • Communicating test results and following up on defects.
  • Carrying out regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  • Maintaining a user-centric approach and ensuring that the product built meets quality standards.
  • Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor's degree in computer science or an engineering, mathematical, or science subject.
  • Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in software testing / quality assurance.
  • Experience in testing web-based applications.
  • Experience in different types of testing (functional, integration and regression testing) and knowing when to use them.
  • Experience in writing test cases for functional testing based on the requirement.
  • Experience with defect life cycle, defect management tools, defect verification and retesting the affected area.
  • Experience in testing complex application use cases.
  • Ability to clearly articulates issues, participate in discussions and provide feedback.
  • Any experience in test automation development is a bonus.
  • Skills and Knowledge

  • Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Very good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools a plus.
  • Programming experience a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
