Job description:


The Business Development Manager (BDM) for the French market will be responsible for establishing and developing business relationships with new clients in France.

This role is crucial for market expansion in the country and will play a key role in the company's growth and expansion in the region.

The BDM will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, initiating contact with potential clients, and converting them into loyal and satisfied customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify business opportunities: Research and analyze the French market to identify growth and business development opportunities. Evaluate the potential of new markets and customer segments.
  • Develop expansion strategies: Create and implement effective strategies to penetrate the French market, including identifying new clients, establishing strategic alliances, and exploring new areas of growth.
  • Establish business relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients in France. Develop an indepth understanding of their needs, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements: Lead commercial negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial and profitable agreements. Develop and manage contracts, terms, and conditions.
  • Internal collaboration: Work closely with other internal departments, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure the effective implementation of business strategies in the French market.
  • Monitor market trends: Stay updated on French market trends, customer demands, and competitive movements. Utilize this information to adjust business strategies and develop new opportunities.

Job Requirements:


  • Previous experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles, preferably in an international and/or French market environment.
  • Knowledge of the French market: Deep understanding of the French market, including its business culture, economic trends, trade regulations, and relevant competition in the Transport sector.
  • Negotiation skills: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close successful business deals. Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade different stakeholders, including customers and partners.
  • Customer orientation: Proactive and resultsoriented approach to meeting customer needs. Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients, generating trust and loyalty.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to analyze market data and trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective strategies for business growth in the French market.
  • Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Achievement orientation: Motivation and determination to achieve and exceed established business goals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to successful completion.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs. Willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches and to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Excellent interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally, and to establish rapport and trust with clients.
  • Resultsdriven: Strong focus on delivering measurable results and driving revenue growth. Ability to track and analyze key performance indicators and adjust strategies to maximize business outcomes.
  • Travel availability: Willingness and ability to travel within France and potentially internationally as required to meet with clients and attend industry events
