Your purpose on the role:

The Manufacturing Engineer designs and manufactures patient-specific implants based on surgeons 'requirements and according to established work instructions and procedures.

Main accountabilities:

3D reconstruction of medical images
Design of patientspecific implants based on input from the surgeon.
Update of WI/SOP related to the process of custommade implants
Manufacturing of custommade implants using 3Dprinting techniques.
Attend surgeries to provide support to the surgeon
Followup cases and recover clinical evidence
Propose and implement product improvements based on the clinical results/clinicians' feedback/ indication challenges

Job Requirements:

Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Natural Science or equivalent
Relevant experience with development of projects executed in a regulated medical device environment according to standards and regulations such as: ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR part 820, MDSAP, MDR, etc.
Relevant experience with 3D printing technology

Critical Skills/technical know-how:

Good 3dimensional thinking and basic experience with CAD tools (Solidworks or similar)
Knowledge of medical imaging (radiology/CT/MRI scanners) or anatomy is a plus
Current knowledge of biomedical engineering or materials science
Fluent in Spanish and English, both in conversation as well as in writing
