The team
The Liveable Cities team is looking for a new team
- member eager to join our mission of enhancing urban
- liveability. You will work with us adopting a holistic
- approach to think plan and design cities that:

Bring people to nature, and nature to people in

- urban context.

Make the physical space an enabler for active

mobility so it becomes easy, safe, and attractive.

The position
The Project Consultant will be working at our Barcelona
headquarters with fellow team members taking
responsibility for acquisition, execution, and
management of consultancy assignments.

The focus of your work will lie in the creation and
management of innovation collaborative projects and
programmes, in most cases supported with funding
from the European Commission. You will work at the
state-of-the-art in topics such as active mobility, urban
planning, nature-based solutions, circular economy,
working with leading organizations in these fields. You
will help facilitate science to policy collaboration, as
well as citizen engagement processes. You will facilitate
high level on-line and in-person meetings, workshops,
and knowledge transfer activities.

You will be working in 2-3 small teams for several
clients in parallel. Your activities will include occasional
meetings at different client locations around Europe.

Required experience and skills.

Have 01year experience in related field (we seek

a self-starting trainee level consultant that can be
onboarded quickly)

Hold a BSc and a MSc degree in environmental

sciences, urban planning and/or policy analysis at
a highly ranked university.

Be fluent in English, both verbal and written,

meaning being able to express your thoughts and
insights rapidly, accurately and to the point, easily
translating complex technical concepts into clear
and compelling business language.

Be a supportive team player, know how to work in

small teams and share responsibilities.

Be selfstarted and stressresistant, with an eye

for details while keeping your vision aligned with
clients' strategies.

Even more important than qualifications and work

experience is your ambition, 'can do' attitude and
interpersonal skills, an eagerness to get things
done. Be motivated to learn and grow.

Desirable experience and skills Understanding of or experience working with

European funding programmes such as Horizon
Europe and Interreg will be highly valued.

Dutch, German, French are highly valued, as well

as other West-European languages.

Previous experience in consultancy is a strong

plus.
