Job Description Summary:

The purpose of the job is the development and management of all engineering activities to deliver quality designs of Offshore Wind Turbine Towers and verify the suitability of the Offshore Wind turbine structures into the site-specific conditions of the offshore wind farm.

With his structural engineering background, the SFE is capable to use GE Tower and Foundation design tools to develop his own design proposals for each wind turbine model and wind farm specific developments, calculating and executing the design, proposing and monitoring the right validation plans and creating the right certification documentation, discussing with the certification body to achieve such certification.

The role includes management and development of next generation of offshore Towers and Foundations for the complete product lifecycle

SFE is also leading and interfacing with our external partners (like developers, customers, substructures contractors, certification body) and other internal engineering processes (like site specific load assessment, full structural integrity verification, wind turbine control adaptation requests, and environmental boundaries wind, sea, soil), manufacturing and installation.

About us

GE Renewable Energy is one of the world's leading offshore wind energy companies, with a portfolio of offshore wind turbines ranging from 6 MW to 14 MW that offer increased value to customers with proven performance, reliability, efficiency and availability.

We have invested more than $400 million to develop the Haliade-X, an investment that will also drive down offshore wind farms' levelized cost of energy, helping make offshore wind energy more competitive for our customers.

The Haliade-X was the industry's first 14MW offshore wind turbine to operate, and is the only 12+MW offshore wind turbine platform that has been operating for over two years, specifically at its Rotterdam prototype site.
