The Opportunity

The role is due to start from 5th August 2024.

You will be instrumental in providing first level support and ensuring hardware and software resources are maintained and provide a professional service in support of staff and students when using IT systems to support learning.

You will need to provide first line support in liaison with the regional It Manager at all times. You will be the first point of contact for all ICT questions/queries and issues associated with all school owned technology. You will need to organise warranty and non-warranty repairs as required; in addition to maintaining Office 365 account and credentials for staff and students and access to G-suite. You will need to ensure printers are maintained and there is always adequate level of stock for consumable items. This role is essential in providing first level of support for display equipment including projectors, interactive boards in classrooms and for all devices in staff, ICT lab and BYOD devices. You will encourage and support staff and students with the adoption of new technology and be able to demonstrate the basics of a new tech. Working with suppliers to ensure that the network is optimal and error free and that secure, physical access to the building is managed.

Person Specification

In particular, candidates should meet the following technical profile:

•Suitable ICT qualifications to degree level and/or previous experience in supporting and maintaining an

ICT network service.

•Cisco Certified or similar network technology certification.

•Demonstrates high levels of honesty and integrity.

•Knowledge of Apple or google chrome device management

•Professional experience in Microsoft 365 and or Google workspace .

•A competent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft/ Windows based systems (preferably within a

school environment) having in depth knowledge of Windows client operating systems and architecture.

•Good technical ability and the necessary skills to solve ICT hardware and software problems

•Proficient in interacting with people of various ages backgrounds, and at different technical levels

•Confident working alone, as well as part of a wider team to ensure services are prepared for use .

•Sets and maintains high standards of technical solutions.
