    TITLE: Project Manager (Network Services)

    DEPARTMENT: Network Services Operations

    REPORTING TO: VP of Global Shared Services

    JOB TYPE: Full time, Permanent, Hybrid

    LOCATION: Madrid, Spain

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing networks projects and programs spanning multiple, global regions – including both internal and external (customer facing) projects and programs
  • Coordinate and implement suitable project management frameworks based on the project initiation documents from Network Engineering (internal projects) and Sales Engineering (external customer facing projects)
  • Translate requirements into a project plan for delivery - create tasks, determine durations, resources required and pre-requisites
  • Effective project resource and budget management
  • Create risk assessment and plan of actions to avoid/mitigate risks and manage risks as they occur through the project lifecycle
  • Manage delivery of plans to successful completion – tracking tasks, prioritising tasks according to critical path analysis, coordinating resources, tracking budget and resources, assessing risks, addressing issues and managing any possible change of scope
  • Coordinate and chair regular project meetings/calls with stake holders and resources to obtain updates, assess progress/risks, address issues and assign tasks. Publishing meeting notes and actions for all participants
  • Provide regular management information and formal project updates to the customer and the Director of Global Shared Services. Reporting on project status, progress and issues – following escalation plans to internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Building defined Ways of Working (processes) to deliver successful projects on time & within budget based on review of projects ultimately looking to deliver cost savings on future projects both internally & externally.
  • MUST TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively to move projects forward
  • At least 2 years experience as a project manager
  • Experience delivering network projects mandatory.
  • Confident and experienced working within and coordinating geographically disparate teams
  • Experience of managing global projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. Able to communicate with and liaise between business and technical functions within an organization
  • Basic Finance/analytical and report formatting skills, using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create, update and work to project plans and Gantt charts
  • BA Hons / BSC Hons degree or equivalent
  • Project management qualifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) a plus but not essential
  • DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous roles within telecoms industry a must
  • Previous project management experience required – ideally working on global projects
