ROLE SUMMARY:

King's College School, an Inspired and King's School, is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of the whole school who is committed to student wellbeing and academic excellence.

This is a permanent position commencing in April 2024.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership and guidance to the Heads of Primary, Secondary and the Director of Studies.
Continually develop and maintain the school self evaluation documents and processes for both selfimprovement and inspection.
Coordinate the formulation and development of the school's aims and objectives
To establish policies and procedures to achieve the school's aims and objectives
To allocate staff resources to enable the school to achieve its aims and objectives
Oversee the effective implementation of the quality assurance framework
Develop and implement the school's appraisal processes
Implement whole school procedures for the accurate collection, analysis and communication of student progress and attainment
Identify staffing needs and run recruitment processes to fill them

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Have experience of successful leadership and management at a senior level in firstrate schools, ideally across the UK and internationally.
Have held various and extensive management and teaching roles in British National Curriculum schools, both in the UK and internationally.
Possess excellent knowledge of IGCSE and good knowledge of the entire British National Curriculum, inclusive of KS
Have experience of line managing members of staff who line manage others in turn
Understand high quality teaching and the ability to model this for others and to support others to improve
Have the ability to communicate, where required, in written and spoken Spanish to stakeholders who are unable to communicate in English
Understand school finances and financial management
Be an effective communicator with all school stakeholders
Be able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively displaying flexibility where appropriate
Be able to delegate areas of responsibility with an awareness of how this will develop others in the team
