Quality Control & Continuous Improvement Manager:
Facilitate the implementation of the ALPS Process in the site,
manage the Continuous Improvement and develop the knowledge of the SITE in CI tools
Manage the Quality Control team to ensure the quality of the product produced. Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, with Corporate Policies and Directives and with QHSE&S standards.
Optimizing the Quality Management System within the framework of Continuous Improvement. Lead Quality and Production Process Improvement programs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Always complying with the AkzoNobel policies and HSE established rules:
- Facilitate and coordinate ALPS development & Continuous Improvement activities
- Serve as liaison between the Site and the external structures.
- Identify and help resolve any risks to the rollout.
Key Activities:
- Facilitate and coordinate CI activities at site, workshops, meetings and reviews.
- Give support to the implementation areas. Serve as liaison among Implementation Task Forces to coordinate activities across the site and to share resources effectively.
- Coordinate the delivery of training content to shop floor workteams as per the Implementation Plan.
- Review and refine training content with the SSC and ITF and suggest improvements Train shop floor work teams and team leaders on best practice principles and concepts.
As a Quality Control Manager:
- Coordinate the adaptation of working procedures in line with changes in product standards, legislation and/or Akzo Nobel guidelines to ensure that the company complies with established requirements.
- Develop and motivate your team of collaborators, taking advantage of the tools provided by the company
- To train the team in the technical knowledge and skills necessary for the efficient development of activities in the production environment.
- Develop and monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the department.
Education & Experience:
- Chemistry/Engineering degree or similar. Postgrade or Master will be a plus
- More than 5/6 years experience in similar position in an industrial multinacional company.
- Strong backgorund in Continuous Improvement Programs and Lean Manufacturing, Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
- Good skills in people management
- IT knowledge at user level and capacity to manage a data base.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
