    The in-house operation

    The IT department is responsible for and designs theentire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meetsthe city's current and future needs. We drive the digitalization ofthe city of Munich and play a pioneering role. Our work and ourservices make the city of Munich a digital metropolis that setsstandards that its employees are proud of.
    As part ofthe IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunicationsinfrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure theIT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees inour own company .

    What you can expect

    Your tasks will include the operation,design, development, commissioning, documentation and support ofexisting and new software. You will be responsible for life cyclemanagement, 3rd level support and coordination with the externalcompanies whose software we use.
    You will be in contactwith our customers and support them with questions about the ITsystems we support. The focus of the job is on the operation andfurther development of software (e.g. open source software). Youwill ensure the stability of the IT systems and ensure that faultsare rectified quickly. The software is continuously developed in anagile project.

    You have

    • asuccessfully completed university degree in the field of computerscience, administrative informatics or business informatics or
    • a successfully completed university degreeand
    • several years (at least two years) ofprofessional experience in the IT sector or equivalent skills andexperience

    In particular, youbring with you

    • Specialistknowledge: several years (at least two years) of experience insoftware development with PHP, experience in dealing with lifecyclemanagement or IT service processes, good knowledge of currenttechnologies, e.g. with regard to architecture, design andimplementation of software solutions, Linux / Windows serveradministration, experience with GIT
    • Resultand goal orientation, in particular technical problem-solvingskills
    • Cooperation and conflict skills, inparticular the ability to deal with conflicts

    The following are an advantage

    • Practical experience with the use of opensource software
    • practical experience withagile project management (SCRUM)
    • Practicalexperience in Java
