    The Specialist Open RAN Engineer will join the Open RAN Radio Hardware Development team and will be in charge of some of following responsibilities:

  • To define, deliver and drive the 2G/3G/4G/5G multi-technology radio hardware roadmap and the associated 2-year plans, tracking the delivery across all development stages and enabling deployments.
  • To drive technical relationship with radio components' suppliers , silicon, power amplifiers or filters with the aim of evolving the radio platform delivering the best performance and achieving our cost and energy efficiency targets; manage roadmaps, paper studies, pilots, and lab trials.
  • To deliver OPEN RAN radio hardware solutions according to radio product strategy and in line with O-RAN architecture, from high level specifications, through areas traditionally under radio suppliers' responsibility, to validated solutions that can be deployed in the field.
  • What you will bring?

  • Extensive experience in mobile operator or radio supplier environment.
  • More than 5 years of experience in RAN technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) with special focus on radio hardware design, development, requirements specification and/or operation.
  • Proven track record for successful development and delivery of new radio technologies and final customer solutions, including successful lead of international programs in very complex environments.
  • Good knowledge of radio hardware products and subcomponents: silicon, power amplifiers, filters, powers supply units, synchronization, mechanical and thermal design, etc. with specific experience in development of commercial macro remote radio heads and M-MIMO products
  • Experience in delivering RFI/RFP/RFQ management and evaluation from technical point of view.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic with strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance and resolve conflicts.
  • Good communication skills at all levels both in English and Spanish.
