Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to join Electrical Department and to be based in Madrid.

Responsibilities:

Administer the package of Wood electrical engineering group
Ensure that all EPC Electrical Engineers under his / her supervision work to the project procedures, specifications and standards, good engineering practices and techniques, and any projectspecific requirements
Supervise the day to day engineering interfaces between EPC core engineering group, Project Managers and the engineering teams assigned to the EPC package includes interaction with all other specialist disciplines as required
Participate in design reviews and engineering changes with customer as necessitated by design development and ensure core team are made aware of these
Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required
Participate in project reviews, value engineering and value improvement workshops with customer
Input engineering procedures and work practices in conjunction with Core Electrical Lead as appropriate

Skills / Qualifications:

Degree in relevant discipline
Minimum of 10 years' experience in major oil / gas refinery / petrochemical projects in the capacity of Senior electrical engineer with EPC organization
Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be adopted during EPC phases of oil / gas projects
Must have the capacity to develop detail design deliverables
Must have proven ability to contribute during development of electrical system studies
Fluent English
Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required
