Overview of Role


An informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A in the FIG space.

We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized clients in the FIG space.

We design and execute strategic M&A solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face.


Our deep understanding of financial markets, the high volume of transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network of specialists in 40 countries, provide clients with a comprehensive perspective to achieve their strategic goals.

Our distinct perspective allows us to achieve outstanding results for our clients and act as their most trusted advisers over the long term.


Responsibilities:


  • Execute live deals in the FIG industry (Banking, Insurance, FinTech, Payments, Asset & Wealth Management, Specialty Finance, etc.) which may include sell/buy side M&A, spinoffs and Equity Advisory both in Spain and cross border
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment while multitasking timesensitive projects
  • Oversee and assist in financial modelling and valuation
  • Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative economic, industry and company research and analysis
  • Draft client pitches and marketing materials including acquisitions, disposals, mergers and equity capital market alternatives, as well as associated internal documentation through coordination with internal and external resources
  • Coordinate the transaction process internally and by liaising with clients, their counterparties and other advisers. Managing analysts and overseeing various work streams
  • Attend client meetings and develop relationship skills through client contact and exposure to senior bankers
  • Adhere to all compliance regulations and confidentiality policies
  • Contribute to Rothschild & Co's unique firm culture, and recruiting, training and development efforts
Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with high qualifications
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Previous experience gained in a similar role in another financial services organization in the FIG space
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills to develop/supervise financial models and valuations with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership in order to build a strong team environment and to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of business, across different geographies
  • Ability to build longterm, professional relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business
  • Experience leading client presentations, managing projects and the execution of transactions
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines
  • Origination skills at his level
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulatory environments that surrounds the FIG industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Spanish as first language or very advanced Spanish skills
