Junior General Accountant


Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in finance with a global leader? Enghouse Interactive is on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic Finance Team in Barcelona, Spain.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Monthly and

Quarterly Closing Process:
Contribute to the closing process involving Bank Transactions, Payroll, Accruals, Deferred Expenses, I/C, and Taxes for Spain.

  • Monthly Close Review: Conduct thorough monthly close reviews and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts (excluding AR and AP accounts).
  • Payroll Management: Oversee the monthly payment process, manage variances, handle employee benefits, ensure compliance with local payroll obligations and taxes, and manage payroll accruals.
  • Fixed Assets: Take charge of fixed assets, including payment management, monthly variances, and compliance with local obligations.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax obligations, including VAT and WH taxes.
  • Cash Management: Maintain control over bank accounts and manage cash transactions.
  • Intercompany Processing: Process and control balances for Spain in intercompany transactions.
  • Statutory Audits Support: Assist in providing schedules for yearend statutory audits.
  • Local Administrative Support: Offer support in local administrative functions.

Experience:


  • Minimum 1 year of experience in General Accounting and tax preparation.
  • Knowledge and experience using accounting systems like Great Plains or similar.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs/Pivot tables).

Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Methodical, detailoriented, and capable of handling a large volume of transactions.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Selfmotivated with a strong and flexible work attitude.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
