About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Web Administrator to provide ongoing administration and support for our Web Hosting Service.

The successful candidate will be part of the Unified Web Hosting team, which is geographically distributed among our locations in Europe.

Job Description

The resource will report to the Unified Web Hosting technical team lead and have deep knowledge of Linux operating system administration and web applications.

The scope of work includes supporting the Unified Web Hosting Team on projects or ongoing support services as per arising needs, with a requirement to be on call one week per month.

Location: Valencia, Spain (preferred) or remotely within the CET Time Zone.

Required Technical Skills

Prior experience in System Administration and Linux operating system
Knowledge of Open-Source Web Servers like Nginx or Apache
Experience with versioning systems (git)
Ability to understand and write code in some scripting language: Bash, Python, PHP, etc.
Cloud-Based services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Service Management methodologies (ITIL)

Desirable Skills

CMSs: WordPress, Drupal, Moodle, Liferay
Loading-balancing and proxy technologies including CDNs

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years working experience as Web Applications Administrator with a significant exposure to PHP, Java and/or Python
Required Soft Skills:

Ability to distill complex problems and drive toward creative solutions
Ability to interact with customers, assess and gather customer requirements, compare pros and cons, propose best-suited options, and turn them into solution designs
Willingness to learn on the job

Desirable certifications: Cloud certifications (Azure & AWS) are highly desirable
Knowledge & Experience of the LAMP stack would be an advantage
