IT Automation Engineer **we are looking for someone like you, with digital skills and development capabilities to create, integrate and evolve Santander ́s global platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


As an
IT Automation Engineer **, you will support multiple product teams and Platforms areas, working in a DevOps culture, using the latest technologies and tools as part of our digital transformation programme.

You will be a key member of the Platform - IT Delivery teams who will be responsible of creating automated process ensuring that we successfully reduced manual in place process.

You will also give guidance to the Automation Engineering function across Santander Technical teams, ensuring best practices are being adhered to in order to achieve continuous delivery and creating the infrastructure as code element.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Engineer and manage new process automation projects from the concept to commissioning and validation.
  • Engineer and manage medium to large process control systems improvement, optimization and upgrade projects to meet automation.
  • Overseeing Installs, Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Commissioning and Acceptance Testing across automation life cycle process.
  • Provide moderate to advance technical assistance to site platform technical groups through investigations, control system assessments, and design support.
  • Work closely with platform technical groups as a crossfunctional team member to meet automation project objectives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of track record working in different areas:
  • Developing automation (Ansible, Python).
  • DevOps methodology (code, test, deploy, support)
  • Designing/Running automated processes in Production environment.
  • CD/CI and deployment of code (Jenkins, Rundeck).
  • Working with ALM toolsets (Git, Jira, Confluence, Nexus, Jenkins, Rundeck, Terraform).
  • Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Virtualisation (VMWare).
  • Containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Automated tests (Ansible, Selenium).
  • Secure code and infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure Architecture.
  • SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
  • Managing infrastructure in multitiered web architecture.

EDUCATION

  • IT engineering or any technical career.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Required

  • Design automated process using
    Ansible, Python , Shell script and PowerShell.
  • Cloud technologies (experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
  • Containers technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Agile working.
  • Linux Expert.
  • Software build cycles.


  • Language Skills

  • High level of English and Spanish.
  • Capacity to adopt and develop skills in new technologies.
Desired

  • Database Administration (PostgreSQL, MySql).
  • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
