In this position we offer you the opportunity to lead, globally, the commercial activities for Hempel's Global Key Accounts in Renewables.

Your ability to lead, direct and control the activities globally, will help ensure the Global Key Account Team achieves its short and long-term financial and operating objectives, as set by Hempel's 'Double Impact Strategy'.


You will get to develop and implement the right commercial strategies, ultimately determining the level of success in our efforts to consolidate and expand our position as market leader within coating solutions for the energy and renewables segment.

This meaning, full budget responsibility whilst establishing the overall vision and strategy for the GKAs of the segment; a strategy that will cover the full value chain of the GKAs including their subcontractors aiming towards true, value adding partnerships with Hempel's GKAs, extended with a strong sustainability element.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of commercial strategies, review and advice on policies, such as pricing, product mix, brand portfolio, among others
  • Reviewing and monitoring sales performance periodically, and refine commercial strategies as required
  • Lead and direct GKAM organization to exceed sales plans and achieve sales and profitability goals
  • Prepare global rolling forecast (revenue and profit) detailed per Account and per area
  • Implement pricing / profitability strategies to assure success while maintaining company profitability
  • Ensure compliance of all Hempel's procedures and policies
  • Overall people management responsibility of Global Key Account Managers
  • Acts as key central management figure globally in the segment they are responsible


To succeed with your goals and objectives, you will also partner with Area Sales, Services, R&D, Sustainability, Commercial Excellence, Marketing and the Solution Management organizations to drive and implement the various activities.

Your great interpersonal skillset, will help you come through in these partnerships.


Furthermore we imagine you to:

  • Hold an educational level of Bachelor, Masters, MBA or equivalent
  • Have solid management experience also managing managers (10 years min.)
  • Have experience from similar tasks and preferably in renewable business as Director/Manager in a GKAM / Sales / BD department, working with strategic organizational planning
