    Introduction

    Are you good at building relationships and have excellent communication skills then we would like to know more about you?
    For Shimano we are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who will be in charge of Shimano Events, also PR and sponsorships. This role oversees the sponsorship of teams and athletes as well as attending events and fairs, to be always in contact with the public, media and cyclists. You will be responsible for all Shimano communication and public relations; you will be acting as an ambassador for the brand in terms of good relations. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team and giving support to the category plans of brand managers in terms of communication, and you should be able to manage the budget for teams, events and press.

    The Challenge

    1. Deliver a memorable and well executed presence at events that increases the awareness of the Shimano brand and products.

    2. To effectively manage partnerships with (sponsored teams and athletes/ influencers / Pro staffers) to ensure a positive relationship, a good brand image and activation within the market.

    3. To coordinate well planned and targeted content to current and possible media, creating and managing the media plan for the year according to the strategy.

    4. Responsible for the planning and delivery of online and offline promotional marketing tools and materials for new introductions and specific promotions.

    5. To evaluate the performance of Marketing activities against targets set, taking action where necessary to ensure success.

    6. Formulate and execute marketing plans that deliver consistent communication of both brand standards and product messages in all own activities and together with Marketing colleagues across the Shimano organization.

    What are we looking for?

  • At least 3-6 years of relevant experience (preferably in an international setting).
  • Knowledge of MS suite.
  • Knowledge of working with bicycle-related components and products is a plus.
  • Affinity with the bike-market and the Shimano-product range.
  • Excellent language skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are proactive and willing to learn.
  • Willingness to travel to events on a regular basis.
  • You are the one who is cooperative and loves working in teams.
  • Knowledge of cycling media and general media is a plus.
