YOUR MISSION


At Glovo, Retail is one of our highest-growing business units, and we have been making substantial investments in this area for more than two years.

We have already established partnerships with more than 100 top retail brands, including industry giants like MediaMarkt, Fnac, Worten, dm, Douglas, Decathlon, and Staples.

As a Retail Global Sales Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team of over 50 professionals, based in more than 16 countries.

Despite our rapid growth, Retail still embodies the spirit of a small startup within Glovo, presenting exciting opportunities and challenges to overcome.


THE JOURNEY


As a critical asset for the team, you will be at the forefront of our growth efforts, prioritizing the addition of new retail partners.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Activating top retail partners: You will collaborate with local retail teams in over 16 countries to align on priorities and ensure their success. By creating the necessary tools, processes, and support systems, you will empower these teams to shine and deliver exceptional results.
  • Leading global negotiations: In addition to local negotiations, you will take charge of global and multicountry negotiations directly with the headquarters of potential partners where we have overlapping operations. Your strategic process and relationshipbuilding skills will be crucial in securing mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Elevating the performance of local teams: Through feedback, support, country visits, training, and handson involvement in negotiations when necessary, you will inspire and raise the bar for our local teams. Your collaborative approach will foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build playbooks and tools for local teams as well as the commercial strategy: You will lead and improve the tools our local teams use such as the commercial pitches, contract templates, commission guidelines, commercial strategy, q&a and more

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience and leadership: You have a proven track record of over five years of experience of which at least one-year leading commercial teams in fast-paced environments. Whether it's startups, top consulting firms, leading internet companies, FMCG, or retail, you have excelled in complex negotiations with high strategic components.
