Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Cost Consultant to join our Cost Management team in Madrid, ES.


This position will suit a highly motivated professional to consolidate their career within the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, joining a successful team with exceptional Multinational clients.


Role accountabilities:

As a member of our Cost Management team the tasks to be performed include:

  • Technical due diligence audits: Technical review of installation projects, technical specifications and maintenance documentation for all types of assets (industrial, residential, tertiary); analysing regulatory compliance, design and operating conditions and equipment lifetime.
  • Preparing precontract cost estimates and project cash flow.
  • Preparing tender documentation and evaluation, review and validation of Contractor's estimates.
  • Advising on contractual matters.
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
  • Monitoring Contractors to ensure compliance with the Contract.
  • Validating claims for changes to the scope of works and agreeing a new value.
  • Monitoring delivery of Contractor's services and works to ensure costs are in line with forecasts.
  • Carrying out cost analysis of works or services provided.
  • Postcontract administration and management: contract documentation, progress payment assessment, variation assessment and cost control reporting.
  • Providing financial progress reports.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:


  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Architecture/Architecture.
  • Full professional English (reading, writing, and speaking) is a must.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools and software relevant to job functions (AutoCad, Presto, Project).
  • 35 years of relevant professional experience (Background in consultancy is really valuable).
  • Timely delivery, consistency, and quality of deliverable to team and client expectations, in compliance with our business quality systems.
  • Engagement with and adoption of the Arcadis Way and Arcadis core values.
