  • We are looking for a Projects and Maintenance Cost Controller, to join our Projects and Maintenance Teams. Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) you will take ownership of the creation and analysis of cost and performance data for the Plant Projects Organisation (PPO) and the EU Maintenance team.
  • You will be supporting our Project Engineers and Managers with the extraction of cost data from SAP and support the Monthly cost forecasting of project costs. In addition, you will be responsible for the Maintenance budgeting cycle, working closely with the EU and Sub Regional Maintenance Managers to develop the annual budgets and track progress against plan and record unplanned events. You will be responsible for analysing trends, interrogating data, and developing reports to support the business.

As the Cost Controller you will be responsible for:


  • Maintenance budget process responsible for running the process, setting up meetings with maintenance Managers, running forecast model and historical data, and detailed budget review meetings
  • Project Cost forecasting, extraction of project cost data from SAP and support to Project Managers with cost queries and monthly updates
  • Timesheet Management, including Monthly timesheet approvals, user queries and weekly compliance and recovery status reporting
  • Calculate labour rates based on cost center reports and review with Director for approval for budget scope, annual task and for Gen Gas bid rate


  • Maintenance spend reporting

  • Detailed variance analysis annual trend data sourced from Maintenance Status report, provides deeper level of trend analysis
  • Support Maintenance Managers with maintenance cost forecasting
  • Audit support
  • Develop new reports as required, maximise use of automation. Support changes to work processes and reporting requirements/frequencies

You will have:


  • Significant experience in Project Controls, Cost Controls or Finance roles in the industrial gases or oil and gas industries preferably.
  • A strong focus and track record of data management, analysis, and reporting.
  • You will naturally develop strong working relationships with the Central Technical team, Sub Regional Operations teams, and Finance team, possess strong communication and analytical skills.
