The focus of the role will be to lead, manage and own all sales activities for the assigned Account(s) across the entire DN portfolio according to the defined DN Retail strategy.

This includes developing and implementing the account strategy, delivering revenue retention and growth, gross margin achievement and managing overall customer satisfaction.


You are responsible for:


  • Leading the overall engagement and relationship with the client/s and maximize the profitability of the account/s, accurately forecasting orders, revenue and margin
  • Create, agree and implement the tactical and longterm sales strategy, approach, account plans and objectives for assigned clients
  • To lead all sales activities, including the overall solution design, commercial arrangements, sales collateral creation, client engagement, negotiation and 'close'
  • To provide commercial leadership for all contract negotiations and ensure that robust contractual arrangements are in place for sales, loan and ongoing services (outsourcing, hardware and software support)
  • To develop and maintain the relationships at all levels within the client/s (including senior management) in order to maximize sales opportunities and 'budget share' and to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and position DN as a key longterm business partner
  • To intimately understand the client's business priorities, IT spend, operational pressures and IT capabilities and actively support client/s with their business case design and benefit calculations in order to position DN as the 'supplier of choice' and develop a pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Ensure routine use of bid review/approval processes, sales reporting and pipeline management tools
  • To introduce specialist resource into the client/s to help secure new business opportunities and demonstrate our capability, where this will lead to real business benefit
  • Act as an escalation point for major issues on the clients service or project delivery
  • To participate in the appropriate forums and events in order to raise the profile of DN
  • Lead PR and marketing activities associated to the client/s
  • To oversee and manage the client/s debt position ensuring no overdue payments are accumulated
  • Complete ad hoc duties and tasks allocated through line management chain from time to time

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 510 years of experience in sales, account management, and/or new business development (may be adjusted based upon local regulations or level of position)
  • Must be a real "hunter" and be driven to secure relationships with new retail clients
  • Fluent business English skills (written and spoken)
  • Fluent Spanish is a must

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of Retail, Store procedures and the utilization of technology within the retail environment
  • General knowledge of Diebold Nixdorf products and services is a plus
  • Knowledge of Selfcheckout solutions as well as EPOS would be advantageous
  • Proven success in high quota carrying position
  • Consultative sales experience with complex solution design is desired
  • Exhibit skills, characteristics, traits and work habits that greatly enhance the likelihood of success as an Account Manager, ex: solutionoriented and entrepreneurial mindset, time and territory management, customer empathy
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, strategic planning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills at all levels of the organization, including senior executive levels
  • Proficient in all MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
  • Possess experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce to maximize opportunities
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
