At Atradius, Enterprise Architecture is divided into several domains. "Application and Integration" is a technical domain, and "Shared Components" is a business domain on its own. Atradius is looking for an Enterprise Architect to cover both of them.

You will report directly to the Chief Enterprise Architect.

For the domains that you own, your main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain the respective visions, roadmaps, and high-level architectures, in alignment with the corresponding Asset Owners (from ITS) and Product Owners (from the Business) and their budget plans.

You will work closely with many other key stakeholders from different domains. They are architects, but also senior, program and project managers or business members.

In your role, you will be supporting several teams:

  • The Enterprise Architecture team,
  • The Application and Integration domain's team, being a mix of Enterprise Architects, solution architects, and/or lead engineers,
  • The ''Shared Components'' domain's teams,
  • The Cloud Competence Centre (CCC) mandated to implement the Atradius Cloud Strategy


In the Enterprise Architecture team, your main role is to maintain and improve the Reference Architecture of the domains you own.

The Atradius Reference Architecture is based on a "Service and API's" architecture.

You will validate that the "Application and Integration" Architecture's choices and solutions are appropriate and used in line with the Reference Architecture.

Alternatively, the Reference Architecture gets updated in line with the latest need for change.

Within the ''Shared Components'' architecture domain, you will align with Business and IT stakeholders. You will help them to articulate and to document clearly their ambitions for change and transformation. Your responsibility will be to take care of the overall architecture direction, with a focus on reducing technology debt. You will make sure that projects and domains are building solutions in the right way on-premise or in Azure. It will require to be aligned with the backlogs and plans defined by the different technical platform's Asset Owners. You will adjust the reference architecture accordingly to the feedback received when necessary.


Main responsibilities

  • Act as an Enterprise Architect:
  • Support the creation and maintenance of high-level capability and technology roadmaps for use in strategic planning, including cost estimates.
  • Own not only your domain(s) and platform's strategies but also identify impacts and dependencies with other initiatives, programs and strategies.
  • Create enterprise, and highlevel architectures for the "Application and Integration" technical architecture domain, as for the 'Shared Components'' business domain.
  • Make sure the "As Is" architecture and the "To Be" are well defined, described, documented, and shared, including references to capabilities, standards, design patterns, blueprints, and current documentation.
  • The "To Be" Architecture must be unambiguous and easily identifiable based on your experience and the various Atradius Strategies. You must provide practical and realistic directions.
  • Own, lead, and prioritize the Application and Integration architecture backlogs.
  • Support your stakeholders and be part of the delivery teams
  • Guide (DevOps) teams and external partners on following and implementing the reference architectures. You must become a part of the delivery teams and not just be an outsider.
  • Work with the Infrastructure teams to get their trust and collaboration, so they will implement the architectures and technologies recommended.
  • Support Atradius' Cloud Journey
  • Work with the Cloud Competency Centre, making sure that relevant Application policies and standards are aligned and implemented correctly in Azure.

Eligibility Requirements

  • General:
  • Higher / University level IT education.
  • The successful applicant will occasionally be required to travel (mainly Western Europe) for short periods of time, as and when the need arises.
  • Fluency to a high degree in English is required, but additional language skills (in particular Spanish) will also be valuable.
  • Enterprise Architecture:
  • Enterprise Architecture Experience, especially using Archimate language and EA Sparx.
  • Previous responsibilities in driving enterprise and solution architectures, by guiding involved teams and implementation parties.
  • Having an interested eye on the market trends and technologies.
  • Application & Integration Architecture:
  • Experience in building and delivering API and Integration strategies, keeping stakeholders involved and supportive.
  • Experience working on MACH architecture and modern integration platforms.
  • Handson experience in defining and building API and Integration platforms, in alignment with involved engineers and implementation parties.
  • Demonstrable understanding of:
