The
Regional People Director is responsible for all country HR processes and employee requests within the employee lifecycle, ensuring that high quality is provided to all employees and internal stakeholders in line with the People SOPs.


What you will be doing

Recruitment

  • Recruitment & Internal Transfers for countries
  • Recruit top talent in for all replacement positions
  • Manage the external selection process for all replacement positions
  • Ensure compliance with employment legal issues prior to hiring.
  • Manage the internal selection process
  • Support Hiring Managers with proper documentation and process for internal transfers.

Onboarding and Hiring:

  • Make labor contracts for new employees complying with local law.
  • Open bank accounts for new employees.
  • Enroll new employees to Social security.
  • Provide new employees with onboarding information.
  • Add new employees to all required HR Systems.
  • Ensure new employees have access to tools, policies and processes required for the position.

Payroll:

  • Document and report payroll incidences.
  • Provide support to employees with payroll claims.
  • Be a liaison between payroll and employees on any questions or claims.

Legal Compliance and Legal Processes:

  • Ensure legal compliance with local labor, immigration and health laws of all our employees.
  • Document compliance with labor and immigration requirements for all foreign employees.
  • Provide support to foreign employees with labor and immigration processes.
  • Assist in all situations (claims, requests, audits) for and by local labor, social security and any other authorities pertaining employment.

Culture:

  • Monitor assigned locations for employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Support and coach location management on building and maintaining location culture and engagement
  • Manage the engagement survey process and resulting action plans for assign locations
  • Implement culture and engagement building initiatives and programs
  • Act as a model of the Selina culture in the assigned location(s)

HR Processes & Policies:

  • Support in the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies.
  • Ensure legal and cultural alignment of corporate processes and policies into local operations.
  • Provide feedback for the need of creation of new HR processes and policies.
  • Train employees and managers on processes, policies and tools as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all approved HR processes.
  • Manage the performance review process for assigned locations

Customer Service:

  • Support all employee's requests and questions regarding Human Resources matters.
  • Create letters and documents required by employees.

Employee Data:

  • Ensure all employee data is up to date and recorded in corresponding systems.
  • Ensure all changes in employment conditions for an employee are recorded in the corresponding systems.
  • Periodically request employees for an update of personal information.

Offboarding:

  • Review termination requests and provide recommendations of best ways to conduct the termination (legal and methodology).
  • Support Managers with terminations.
  • Conduct terminations.
  • Conduct exit interview.
  • Ensure all terminations are appropriately documented and supported.
  • Ensure termination is recorded in all appropriate systems.

L&D:

  • Ensure compliance with all mandated training.
  • Coordinate the implementation of training event
  • Monitor training needs in the corporate teams and work with L&D in making them happen.

What you need for the role

  • Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or equivalent studies in HR and/or administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a midlevel HR management position.
  • Experience in the hospitality/tourism industry (preferred).
  • Knowledge of local labor laws
