Role Purpose


Role holder provides support to Underwriting and ensures that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external.


Responsibilities:


The Underwriting Assistant role is responsible for:

  • Contracts handling: (master policies, international programs outgoing and incoming)
- in an efficient and correct way for new and established businesses (sending, receiving, controlling)
- by checking the conditions of acceptance of the customer's request, interacting with the customer if necessary, by using various available data sources to make the right decision and give the right advice to the broker / client
- by following up until contract signing or refusal
- by developing draft contracts / amendments that fit with customer needs
- by modifying coverage concepts if desired by the client / broker
- by preparing contracts which are beyond his / her authority and discuss them with his team leader.
- by monitoring, planning and issuing contractual documents (policies, endorsement and certificates)

  • Supporting the Credit Control team in the cash allocation for accounts and the monitoring of outstanding unpaid premiums.
  • Data Management
- preparing and sending weekly reports
- preparing premium flows
- preparing and sending local policies instructions
- controlling Gross and Net portfolio
- controlling data quality

We're looking for someone who has these qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor ́s degree desirable (recent graduates desirable)
  • Fluent English Skills: minimum C1 level CEFR
  • Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Live and feel Customer focus, ONE AXA Spirit, Courageous, and Integrity in the way of doing business and working with all colleagues/stakeholders
  • Strong internal relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent problemsolving, analytical, and decisionmaking skills combined with a strong work ethic.
  • Proactive attitude facing challenges
  • Strong and effective organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal clients, vendors, and brokers as well as across the AXA XL and AXA Group enterprise.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to successfully multitask.
