Holt Executive are partnered with a leading manufacturer of solar panels for space and beyond who are seeking a Purchasing Director to join their team.

The Purchasing Director will be responsible for leading strategic procurement efforts, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and components crucial for their space-grade products.

Key Responsibilities for the

Purchasing Director:

Develop and implement strategic procurement plans, to ensure the highest quality materials and components are sourced at the best possible prices.

Develop and execute acquisition strategies to ensure timely availability of required materials, minimising the risks of supply chain disruptions that could impact production.

Oversee all aspects of supplier management, from identifying and evaluating potential vendors to negotiating contracts and managing relationships.

Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, production, finance, and sales, to ensure effective alignment of procurement strategies with organisational objectives.

Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and compliance standards.

Key Skills & Experience Required by the

Purchasing Director:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering specializing in mechanical, chemical, aerospace, or related fields.
Master's degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Professional level of English proficiency (C1).At least 5-10 years of experience in a similar position in the space sector.

Candidates should possess the following technical competencies:
Experience in the Space Sector.
Familiarisation with ECSS standards.
