    At La Casita de Inglés, we strongly believe in making learning an enjoyable experience! Our approach to teaching English to children involves a variety of engaging activities such as games, arts & crafts, singing and dancing, theatre performances, yoga sessions, and even baking sessions! The lesson plans are mostly prepared for you, requiring teachers to only customize some ideas based on the weekly themes like outer space, sports, science, food, mindfulness, music, and nature, to suit their specific classes. We do not conduct exams, and teachers only need to submit progress reports every trimester. Our classes are designed to be small and interactive, accommodating a maximum of 8 children per after-school session, although this number can occasionally extend to 10 for makeup classes.

    Tasks

    • After-school programme timings: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 17:00 to 19:00 (15€/hour after tax), Thursdays and Fridays from 17:30 to 19:30 (15€/hour after tax), and Saturdays from 11:00 to 13:00 (20€/hour after tax).
    • Flexible scheduling: Working a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week is preferred for permanent positions, with opportunities to also participate in various camps and workshops held throughout the year.
    • Potential growth: Exciting prospects for advancement within the company, including managerial roles, organizing workshops based on personal hobbies or talents, and potential involvement at the central office.
    • Possibility of shifts in nearby schools.

    Requirements

    To be part of our team, we are looking for vibrant, creative, and passionate teachers who genuinely enjoy working with children. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of six months of professional experience in teaching or interacting with children, besides possessing a flawless native English accent or a C2 English certificate, or an accent from any English-speaking country.

    The selection process: It involves initial contact via email upon successful CV screening, followed by a brief interview conducted through Google Meets, and then two days of trial classes. Even if permanent shifts are unavailable at the moment, we gladly consider candidates for substitute teaching positions, with priority given to the substitute pool when new permanent openings arise. Becoming a substitute can pave the way for future opportunities such as participation in camps and workshops, serving as an excellent stepping stone for career progression.
