Mission:

As Interim Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader you will be leading the Procurement CoE team, a supporting function under Procurement organization.

You will be reporting to the Global Procurement Executive Director.

The Procurement CoE team is responsible for all Procurement tools and systems, process optimization and automation, data analytics, savings and budgetary control, as well as supplier risk & relationship management, supplier compliance and sustainable procurement program.

As Interim Procurement CoE Leader, you will work closely with the Procurement direction and Procurement team members leading ongoing support of the S2P (Source to Pay) and P2P (Puchase to Pay) procurement processes, operating systems & supporting tools to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the areas of spend analysis, eBuy, strategic sourcing, contract management, risk & compliance management with a special focus on sustainable procurement.


Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the CoE team responsible for ensuring that all enabling processes are efficient and effective in supporting procurement function activities in line with the organization's objectives and priorities.
  • Execute the sustainable procurement program by working with procurement team members and business units/functions, measuring the supply base performance in sustainability practices, and ensuring full ESG Corporate Strategy alignment.
  • Ensure the Supplier Risk Framework is executed to appropriately manage thirdparty risk across multiple risk domains.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team to improve the current contract management process
  • Lead P2P and S2P continuous improvement projects, coordinate project efforts with other procurement and related business functions and ensure that the process is as smooth and efficient as possible.
  • Manage 3rd party service providers of technology tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Ecovadis, risk management suppliers). This includes service levels, performance, and enhancements necessary to meet company needs.
  • Oversee the cost savings tracking and reporting process. Ensure that Procurement key performance indicators (KPI) are on track and that the spend is well classified.
  • Provide feedback to BoD reports.
  • Sponsor and manage the team to deploy all the COE projects

Education & experience:


  • Educated to University degree in Engineering, Economics and/or Law
  • Senior in Procurement with a minimum of 5 to 8 years working experience on negotiation, planning and purchasing
  • Experience in managing people
  • Experience in driving compliance of procedures, processes, systems & tools
  • Experience with a pharmaceutical company, Fortune 500 company, or a leading consultancy
