As the Corporate Security Officer, you will support the Corporate Security team, facilitate its operations and projects, drive key goals through to completion, and help to develop an advanced corporate security programme to evolve the company's security posture. What is more, you will be working in a hybrid model, balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team:

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for corporate security, cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, operational resilience, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy.

As a part of the Security Team, the Corporate Security Center of Expertise is responsible for managing security threats in the physical world and focuses on identifying, analysing, and mitigating threats and vulnerabilities to protect Swiss Re's people and premises.


As we expand our mandate and operations, we are looking for a seasoned professional who will join us in shaping, complementing, and executing the operational and strategic layers of corporate security in Swiss Re.

In your role, you will

  • Drive innovation and positive disruptive change by supporting the endtoend design, development, operation and optimisation of corporate security disciplines, programmes or projects
  • Advise on the shape and assist in the execution of corporate security strategy and plans, prioritising remediation of critical vulnerabilities, reducing risk impacts, and enhancing functional maturity
  • Provide operational support to the Corporate Security team across regions and core disciplines
  • Collaborate, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to develop a robust security controls framework, enable strategic deep dives on identified gaps or vulnerabilities and support the Controls Manager to communicate risk treatment activities to leadership and regulators
  • Manage and improve internal systems and platforms integration, driving our reporting and metrics into strategic risk reporting and risk appetite, business strategy, controls design and performance.
  • Drive operational and cost efficiency through the promotion and adoption of new technology systems and platforms and process convergence across Travel Security, Incident Management and Protective Intelligence
  • Identify, collate, structure, analyse and integrate internal and external data into actionable risk intelligence via security metrics, dashboards and executive briefings
  • Perform the Project Manager Officer role in the team, coordinating, tracking and reporting programme and project delivery against objectives and timelines and supporting delivery teams to remove blockers. These may include new Corporate Security disciplines that cut across divisional and regional roles and responsibilities
  • Support crisis and incident management readiness and response. Also, ensure the capture and operationalisation of lessons identified to drive future training, awareness and exercising
  • Support physical, personal, travel and infrastructure threat analysis and assessment across our European markets, and other regions as required

Your qualifications:


  • Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of prevention and mitigation of risks and threats
  • 7+ years' experience working in corporate security, intelligence, or crisis management
  • Knowledge of implementing technical solutions for data collection and management
  • Understanding of physical and personal security, business continuity management, insider threat programme, and specialised technology support platforms
  • Experience in project management and requests for proposal (RPF) drafting
  • Demonstrated expertise and a high degree of motivation to support the leading of an international team together with the ability to work in a hybrid setting
  • Being fluent in data and analytics and knowledgeable of using data in driving operational improvement
  • Demonstrable agility, integrity, resultoriented approach, and composure under pressure
  • Persuasive communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
