We are recruiting an
Regional
Accountant to join the Account Team for a large south European account, located in
a] Paris/Madrid area / b] Milan area.

**The Global Account Team bears the responsibility for the optimization of the financial and operational processes of the client.

Meeting agreed KPI requirements, exceeding the client's expectations and improving continuously are the critical success factors and will be used to measure performance.


The client portfolio encompasses over 340 properties in 9 countries comprising logistics, distribution, corporate head offices, and small regional multi-use properties.

These client properties are serviced by mobile and static CBRE engineers, as well as supplier personnel, covering a full range of FM services.

The Regional Accountant will be reporting to the Regional Finance Manager and will own the financial reporting and analysis for allocated sites in

with client revenues worth $30m (and growing).

with total client revenues worth $45m (and growing)


Role Summary:


Financial Management
Accounting

  • Bears the responsibility for ensuring an accurate and smooth Month-End Close cycle for all allocated European countries.
  • Month-End Close activities include the calculation, review and journalizing of Purchase Order Accruals, Prepayments, Payroll, Bonus Accruals, General Accruals, Unbilled Revenue, Unearned Revenue, etc.
  • Finalize review of all countries' monthly P&L results.
  • Review Overdue Accounts Receivable, and Trade Working Capital reports and take corrective action where required.
Reporting

  • Assemble the Monthly Business Review pack for the countries responsible for.
  • Review WIP Report and TWC Report.
  • Complete regular P&L reviews with Site Leaders/Facilities Managers.
  • Positively respond to both our internal and external customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accessibility/credibility.
  • Investigate and explain deviations from Budgets and Forecasts
  • Adhoc reporting as requested by Business Unit or Business/Finance.
  • Insightful analysis of financial results.
Operational

  • Run open purchase order report weekly and review all open orders keeping aged POs to a minimum; run and review Debt report weekly ensuring issues are dealt with promptly ensuring CBRE receive payment in line with our contractual payment terms.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of procedures and processes and deliver these to the required standard.
Control

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to consistently throughout the Account and Contract Support Team.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems, whilst identifying opportunities to enhance system efficiencies.
  • Ensure Balance Sheet account are appropriate substantiated and reconciled.
  • Comprehensive spend tracking.
Budgets and Forecasting

  • Support the financial planning and forecasting cycle.
  • Actively participate as part of the Finance and Contract Support Team; provide knowledge and understanding to coach and support others.

Other

  • Ability to build profile and trust with senior leadership.

Experience Required:


  • HBO in Accounting / Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems (such as iScala / Dynamics, SAP, Hyperion), Business Intelligence Systems (such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView). Basic knowledge of Excel Macro's VBA and SQL advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organised and open to new ways of working to challenge inefficiencies.
  • Thorough understanding of business and customerfacing environments and the requirements of operating in a contract environment
  • Being part of a highperforming team with management skills to maximise the performance of staff working directly for them and others
