    What We Are Looking for:
ISGlobal is seeking a molecular biologist with experience in virological analysis.

The main objectives are the identification and characterization of neutralizing antibodies against vaccine preventable diseases including yellow fever and measles viruses.


TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BSc and MSc in biology or life sciences.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:


  • Laboratory experience in arboviruses and/or measles, cell culture, antibody detection methods, molecular analysis
  • Userlevel computer skills.
  • Initiative and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The selected person will be responsible of setting up methods for detection and characterization of neutralizing antibodies against yellow fever and measles viruses.

She/He will design studies and experiments, process samples, analyse results and write reports and scientific communications.


SPECIFIC DUTIES:


Organization and storage of biological samples, communication with other teams, cell culture, molecular amplification, neutralization and ELISA assays, interpretation of results.

  • Duration: 18 months

  • Salary Range: TEC II C

SELECTION PROCESS:


The selection process is designed in two phases:1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.

To assess the person's skills and CV.

  • Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
