Payretailers Group is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to be responsible of the activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards for the control of the organization's financial resources and ensures that such information complies with all regulations, laws, tax duties and requirements and reporting requirements.

This role also monitors and manages supplier and its related accounting.


Responsabilities:


  • Prepare monthly / quarterly / yearend closing.
  • Perform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • General accounting of the company (supplier, accruals, invoices, fixed assets, income, and expenses).
  • Processing invoices and receipts and review its correct coding within the accounting records.
  • Monitor and prepare the cash reconciliations to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting.
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate local GAAP / IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Prepare Annual Financial Statements for review by auditors.
  • Prepare and file tax (monthly, quarterly, yearly) including VAT and corporate income tax.
  • Ensuring tax compliance activities (preparation and filing of periodical tax returned such as VAT, IAE, withholding...)
  • Preparation of the Group Consolidated Financial Statements
  • Prepare and review internal and external reports, as well as analysis for management accounts.
  • Develop and document tax processes and policies.
  • Review and validate modifications to tax regulations and tax procedures.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to avoid tax risks.
  • Review tax accounting processes and provide suggestions to increase efficiency and simplify processes.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and finance team.

Knowledge/Abilities:


  • Experience in similar roles, in a multinational environment.
  • Knowledge of Spanish GAP.
  • Knowledge of local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Understanding & working knowledge of Oracle/ Netsuite preferable.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Consolidation

Qualifications:


  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Spanish fluent
  • Advanced level of english (plus)
  • Experience 35 years of accounting and tax experience.
