Typical Accountabilities:

Accountable for the quality and the timely and efficient delivery of programming components within drug projects or technical initiatives

Arranges and structures a project in order to create an environment where the team can work productively and collaboratively together
Defines programming strategic direction for implementation of statistical programming aspects of the clinical development program/s
Leads and contributes in improvement and organizational initiatives within and outside of function
Leads multiple drug or nondrug projects within function/TA
Provides strategic mindset to innovation and improvement and drives innovation ideas to implementation
Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement
Influences at TA, Biometrics or crossfunctional level
Ensures consistent approach and provides expertise to data standards and its implementation within own function or across Biometrics
Maintains expertise of the latest industry and regulatory requirement to stay current with the programming practices
Provides strategic, scientific and programming expertise to the team
Mentors others, shares knowledge and provides training
Collaborates crossfunctionally and represents Programming leadership where required
Provides input to capacity management for all projects in scope
Represent Programming or Biometrics function in technically driven projects
Represents AstraZeneca and the Programming function at external events
Manages risk for assigned projects by making complex judgments and decisions

Essential Requirements:

Degree in Mathematics (i.e., Applied Math, Engineering, etc), Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent experience

Proven programming leadership experience
Thorough knowledge of the clinical development process
Thorough knowledge of industry standards
Demonstrated leadership capability and proven ability to lead teams towards a common goal
Demonstrated planning and organisational skill
Ability to influence relevant stakeholders and global teams
Ability to provide input to functional strategies
Ability to develop teams and individuals
Ability to manage risk in complicated or novel situations
Current knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements relevant to the role
