Since 2019, and thanks to the support from the European Commission, OpenNebula Systems has been leading the edge computing innovation in Europe, investing heavily in research and open source development, and playing a key role in strategic EU initiatives such as the IPCEI-CIS and the "European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge and Cloud".


We are currently looking for an Operations Officer to come and join us in Europe as part of our new team developing the next generation integrated solution for the Telco Cloud Edge.


Directly reporting to the CEO, the Operations Officer will translate the long-term vision and growth plans into an operational plan, establish a clear management and performance system, and implement tools and processes to ensure streamlined operations and a strong foundation for sustainable growth.


What you will do

  • Support the CEO and the Strategy Board in the implementation of the company, product and key projects strategy
  • Supervise the operations of the company in the activities of product development, systems engineering, and adoption funnel
  • Create, manage and monitor a strategy management and performance framework (BSC/OKR) to sync and align all units, and achieve the main KPIs, outcomes and outputs
  • Definition and management of special internal working groups to drive the achievements of the company's strategy and the key project's goals
  • Ensure that company resources are developed and allocated in an optimum way to support the achievement of the strategic work plan
  • Coordination of company processes definition and implementation in the handbook
  • Schedule, plan, and chair regular meetings of the boards in the strategy and operations offices

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • A Master in business administration, management, or a related field is a plus
  • 3+ years of handson experience in operations or strategy management
  • A certification or proven experience in deployment of OKR or BSC frameworks across different teams
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fastpaced changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization and to interact with external stakeholders
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner
  • Strong organizational, planning, and followup skills and ability to hold others accountable
